“June 2021, post-Covid reopening.
2 New Yorkers unexpectedly stuck in Madrid overnight and we ended up at the Tryp Airport hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised.
The suites were pretty large and everything seemed clean and well maintained. The front and dining staff were all very friendly and spoke English well. The buffet dinner and breakfast were both very tasty and had a nice variety, both far exceeded American hotel standards.
The lobby seating, outdoor seating, and pool spaces were all nice and could accommodate a large group. The have a airport shuttle or it’s a 15 min taxi, and they held our bags for free. The whole staff was really great and we felt well taken care of. No it’s not the Four Seasons but it is a very good airport hotel.”

“The staff was nice but it's unacceptable to not pick up your phone for over 3 hours when you have international travelers. I called over 14 times because the shuttle did not show up for over an hour. That's part of why I booked the hotel and paid.
I sat on hold until I was hung up on each time. I understand that there are flight cancellations and you guys may be understaffed but to hang up on a client repeatedly without explanation is a corporate and management decision I find irresponsible.”
